Shepherds back in the day didn't have comfortable double beds with quality linen and en-suite facilities but what's to stop us now! If you're looking for a bijou retreat you’ve come to the right place. Glamping at its best.

Nothing provides better year-round glamping accommodation than a shepherd's hut. Inspired by the travelling in these four-wheeled hideouts, shepherds of old transported their wares and are arguably the original glampers.

Originally, the shepherd hut was a combined kitchen, dining room, bedroom, sitting room, and storeroom. Varying in design all were built to provide the shepherd with practical accommodate on, especially during the lambing season. The traditional huts had a stove in one corner for cooking or keeping warm, and a window on each side to see their flock of sheep. A stable door was always set away from the prevailing wind, so he could listen out for his flock, and cast iron wheels were there to sustain the movement from field to field.

We opened our Shepherd Huts in July 2022 and they are for those that want to get away to an amazing peaceful space in a beautiful location. Each hut is made to the most exacting of standards, paying homage to the original huts.

Immersed with views across the fields or set in the woodland with wildflowers and trees, these wriggly tin clad huts will envelop you in a sense of wellbeing from the moment you kick off your shoes and take a tantalising first dip in your own wood-fired hot tub. Inside is quintessential and charming with a cosy bed to one end with fine Egyptian cotton linen and a chic living space comprising of a kitchen, a fold-down table for dinner a deux and a wonderful wood burner for the cooler evenings. Pamper and refresh yourself in the shower room then snuggle down under a cozy throw and watch the stars outside or unwind with a glass of wine and relive your day exploring the mystic county of Cornwall.

The luxury living space is complemented by a romantic Bedouin style tent complete with comfortable seating, rugs, a chandelier and lanterns.
